Go to their website, download the collage sheet and then make 5 ATC that will be swapped out and then included in their zine. I have finished mine and they will be off in the post tomorrow. Another Dottee doll

My friend next door has to go to Canada to help her sister get over an eye operation, she hates flying and has to go by herself, so I thought as it is her birthday on Friday I would make her a little Dottee doll to keep her company. After all everyone needs a Dottee doll in their life!!

Birthday card

I made this card from my fave CDrom from Polka Doodles. This was the first time I had made anything with the swirly flowers and I was so pleased the way it turned out. I had to make a box with the matching papers to put it in as it was too thick to put in an envelope. I made the little charm to finish it off.

Laugh ATC

This was an open theme with Altered designs. This image of the two little clowns appealed and I am really pleased with the finished card.

Mixed Media Monday challenge

This weeks M.M.M. challenge was to embellish something. I had bought this little wooden manikin a few weeks ago after seeing one of the jewelry shops in Bristol had painted them and dressed them as fairy's and then hung them in their window. I loved this idea and had to have a go myself and as this fitted in with the M.M.M challenge, here is mine.

Think Monday think ATC challenge

here is my ATC for Think Monday Think ATC challenge this week , which was using script. I must admit I love to using script of all sorts in all my projects so it was fitting to do this challenge.

A very proud girl!

I have just been sent free copy of Ten Two Studios online zine as I have had my ATCs I did for their 5th birthday published. I have had scrapbooking layouts published but not my Mixed Media work. As I love to create Mixed Media more than anything I am very very proud to of been part of the project.

Design team challenge 4

Well this is the last challenge and this time you could choose what you wanted to do. So I chose a Halloween theme and made a 3D ATC and a matchbox shrine as you can see here. Now all I have to do is cross my fingers and hope they choose me.

my jewelry makes

I used to dabble in jewelry making years ago but I have been inspired by a member of Bristol Scrappers, Juliette, to start to make more and as most crafting it is becoming a growing passion! Here are the things I have made recently, the tree charm necklace kept me quiet for a while while I was stuck on the settee with my foot up after my ankle op a few weeks ago. Sorry that the photos are on the dark side but it has been so dull in the UK over the past few weeks.

Dottee dolls

I have joined a Dottee Doll swap on Art42. These are great to make, I had such fun creating 2 , one to send and one to keep. The only problem was which one to send to my swap partner in America????? Just one tip for making them, make sure the thread you use for the dangles will go through the beads you want to use. I think I will be making more of these little dolls!

Mixed Media Monday memories challenge

The theme this weeks for Mined Media Monday was Memories. This is one of my most treasures memories, my husbands proposal of marriage in front of the Trevi fountain in Rome, whilst on a day trip from Rimini . I said yes of course but we decided to keep it secret for the rest of the 2 week holiday as we wanted our parents to be the first to know and it was only the beginning of the first week!!!!! But I think our tour rep guessed. We got married one year to the day later, almost 25 year ago!

Needle felting ATC

This weeks theme with Altered designs was to use fabric. I thought it would be fun to create a needle felted one. I have been teaching myself felting and although I love doing needle felting creating 3D figures I find quite hard but creating this ATC was a lot easier and it even turned out how I thought it might!

more twinches

here are the rest

Twinches swap

I joined a twinches swap on Art42 to create 7 twinches and one for the swap organiser. I enjoy twinches they are big enough to create something on with out it being too challenging.

Alien card

I just had to share this Alien card I made for my sisters nephew from the colour my world space templates,I cut the pieces out then put them through a cuttlebug embossing folder to make him look more alien like, he is so cute, I think I will have to make one for myself!

Design team challenge 2

The second challenge for the altered pages design team call was to alter 5 torsos and then turn 2 into paper dolls. I decided to go with a butterfly theme, using a butterfly wing collage sheet and a great collage sheet from them with lots of nice backgrounds and images to decorate my torsos and paper dolls.

Mixed Media Monday challenge

This weeks challenge on Mixed Media Monday was to return to something you used to love. I used to enjoy calligraphy and for a while now had wanted to see if I could still do it. Well this challenge was the perfect excuse to have another try and I must admit it was get to get the ink and dip pen out again. I must admit the results surprised me! I was really pleased with it.
