Metal picture

Mixed Media Mondays challenge for this week was to use metal or metallic, I bought some copper sheet last year to do this project as a very talented member of Altered design used the same technique back last year and I loved it so much I wanted to give it a try. You emboss metal sheet with the embossing folder and then colour with alcohol inks. All I need to get now is some chain to add to it so I can hang it up.

Child ATCs

Think Monday Think ATCs challenge this week was child with a doll but while looking for an image to use I found this wonderful image of a child with her teddy, just so cute I had to use that one too

Circle ATC

This weeks theme with Altered design was to use circles, here is mine

ipod cover

My wonderful husband bought me a new ipod at the weekend to replace my old one, a ipod mini which has had selective memory for almost 18 months. One day it plays the next time you switch it on it says there is no music there, so frustrating. Also the CD player in my craft room had been on the blink for the past year, I wonder if they have been talking? Anyway now I have a new ipod and dock for my craft room. I didn't want a case to cover the fantastic colour so I made one myself out of felt and using my owl template again, this time I added headphones for him, or ear muffs depending on what time of year it is !!!!

Ice cream sunday layout

I struggled all day at the crop this month to get this to work, in the end I moved onto something else and when I got home I changes the background paper and added a few bits and it worked !! That was such a nice ice cream!!

peanut butter cup cakes

A couple of weeks ago my 2 nephews came over for a craft day, in the morning we made these delicious peanut butter cup cakes for our afternoon tea, scummy!

Colour ATC

This weeks theme for my Google group Altered designs was colour which was a good excuse to get out my water soluble wax crayons and make a background, then all it needed was an image and some colourful lettering and I was done. It also fitted with Think Monday Think ATCs challenge of mixed media, crayon, paper, card and ink ( around the edges of the image and ATC )

Skull ATC

Here is the ATC I made for the Thank God its Friday skull challenge, SPOOKY !!

Halloween banner

The challenge this week on Mixed Media Monday was to make something round. As I am in a Halloween state of mind at the moment I decided to get my Nestibilities out and make a Halloween banner to add to my growing collection of Halloween decorations. I had also just bought the great skeleton die and it was a good excuse to try him out!

Halloween Swap

I have been taking part in a Halloween swap with my Google group Altered designs. It was a 2 for 2 ATC swap which I had great fun with. I couldn't just post off the cards without making a little folder and fun envelope for them, just hope it makes it OK.

Little Owl

Today I made this little Owl for the Mixed Media Monday stitches challenge. Made of felt, about 6.5 cm with bead and sequin feathers and big gem owly eyes, I am so pleased with how cute he turned out!

3D ATC challenge

I love this idea from The Saturday workout challenge site to make 3D ATCs. I made mine out of Grey board and chose a Halloween theme as I thought it would be great to put on the mantle over Halloween. Edgar Allen Poe on the front and the raven stamped on the back

Jigsaw pictures

Here are a couple of the things that kept me sane while stick on the settee whilst in plaster, I had had the giant jigsaw pieces for a while but was so pleased with how they turned out I decided to frame them.

Pollys adventure

I stumbled across a great challenge site the other day- The Awfully big art adventure - this months challenge was to make a story in a box. As you know I love paper dolls and had had this idea for ages to have a paper doll who goes off on those beautiful traveling adventures of the early 1900's. Well meet Polly who is doing just that, in fact by the look of her trunk she has already been on a lot of great trips!
I had such fun with this, thank you Blue Peter of the 1070's and all the doll house makes you did, it helped a lot. I think I would of got it finished in half the time if I had not played with it so much along the way but then again I am still just a little girl inside!!

Congrats Chloe!

We are very proud of our God daughter Chloe who passed all her GSE's she needed to go on to 6th form and do the subjects she wants to at A level. So of course a card was in order so here it is plus a little microscope slide hanger as a little gift.

Dream banner

Last year while recovering from op number 2 on my ankle I started this banner for our bedroom, well I have finally dug it out and finished it and it is now hanging over our bed

Hat ATC

Last weeks theme with Altered design for the weeks mingle was hats. Here is mine
